Album Art: Madvillain – Madvillainy (2004)

I’ll be honest: This was an album I didn’t get into until a few years ago – well after the underground album reached critical acclaim within the hip hop community. I knew of Doom and Madlib’s collaboration and upon first listen it was one of the most memorable music trips I’ve experienced.

If you haven’t heard this gem yet, do yourself a favour and listen from start to finish as it is well worth it. If this is your kind of thing (which you’ll probably figure out for yourself a few songs in) be sure to play through it a few times as you’ll pick up some great lines and excellent sampling and beats.
